A.I.R Vallauris - Educational Research Project

Located in the heart of the old town Vallauris, A.I.R. Vallauris (Artists in Residence), a non-profit association, welcomes artists from around the world to its lodgings and studios to meet with local artists and to research and create new works in a unique setting, A.I.R. Vallauris has welcomed over 400 international artists since its creation in 2001.

The residency is a 5-story historical “maison de village” and overlooks a charming square in the old town of Vallauris, a ceramic capital on the French Riviera, where Picasso once lived and created his masterpieces. It is located above our art gallery, called Aqui Siam Ben, where works from previous artists in residence are displayed. The house is just 5km away from Cannes, 200 meters from the local market, the Picasso museum, Chateau museum and a 10 minute drive to the Mediterranean sea.

Exhibition opening and reception: Saturday, September 27th
